Custommaxima.com Grille

I saw these on Ebay awhile ago and I guess Greg picked them up. Anyways, does anyone have pics of one of these on their car? I'm wondering what it looks like. Here are the pics on Greg's site.

Man I would cut to fit mesh paint and ship it for under $20. I already did it for one person and as far as I know he is happy with it

I admit that I like that grille insert. It does look ok. But I think I'll be keep my grille stock because that mesh is really restrictive with air flow. I like my car to run at a good temp with nice air flowing in the radiator, especially when you drive hard and fast you need a good cooling system. Frankly, the air that flows onto your radiator is part of your cooling system. When it's hot like a b*tch in the summer, this isn't going to help at all.

yeah, the guy on eBay that is selling those is a complete rip-off artist. I am dissapointed that Greg jumped on that bandwagon too. Save yourself a whole hell of a lot of cash and go to Home Depot... they have the diamond shaped and the same round shaped mesh (round is what's in the pics) as what that guy is using at the Home Depot down the street from me. Some people are hard to believe.

does it really restrict airflow? It doesn't seem that the stock grille is more open than the gutter guard. If it does, is there any more open gutter guard that you can get?

No, that whole restricting airflow thing is just a bunch of BS to get ricers to buy it thinking they're increasing airflow, and in turn increasing performance somehow.

Huh

The mesh probably is more restrictive, but I doubt any problem will arise unless you have 12:1 compression or are running 15 psi and race the car. An internally stock VG will never have a problem unless you totally block the flow to the radiator. If the temp gets too high, the fan will kick on anyway, that will more likely offset the restriction imposed by mesh..I like sleepers, so mine stays as it came from the factory. To each his own. Cheers..only 2 hr and 20 minutes 'til go-time. Let the liquor flow.

I emailed that guy because I thought it was the whole grille(he didnt always have the part about it being just an insert) he is a con artist, And I dont really even thin it looks that great, also I doubt the the air being restricted by that little amount will have any effect on performance

I will sell you one for $10 if you are dumb enough to buy it. Or you could go to home depot and get the mesh and cut it yourself but hey, whatever...

it not so much that people are dumb or lazy....some just don't have to know how, time or skill for it...plus if it tunrs out lookng bad then they are SOL! $80 isn't THAT bad, its he same price Kaleb used to charge back in the day when he used to make them and I know he sold a few, I think James charged that much too!

I didn't really mean to call anyone dumb, sorry . I was just trying to tell him how easy it was in case he didn't know (and cheap, about $3 tops!)
