Trunk security question...
I have an '89SE and I noticed that you can't lock the manual trunk release lever down. I had a Honda Accord that had this feature and was curious if any of you guys had this feature on your Max. If any of the other 3rd Gen models had a lever that you could lock down with a key, would it be an easy swap with what I have now, or would it take some fabrication? Thanks in advance!

My '91 doesn't have this feature. I think the 4th or 5th Gens might. Problem is that they completey changed the setup. Ours are cable actuated and floor mounted. (Pull the lever which is attached to a cable which releases the latch.)
If memory serves, the later model years moved the switch and changed it to electric motor thingie. (technical term

89-94 GXE had push button built into the door
92-94 SE also have the button
89-91SE have the lever built into the gas cap lever
I'm not sure about the lever models because both my 89GXE and 93SE had buttons but on those models, there is a override switch inside the trunk that you can slide down to prevent anyone from opening via the inside button; then only the key will work
if you open the trunk, look just inside the plastic trim at the bottom latch, you will see a hole in the trunk liner and a small flat piece of metal
test your key in the trunk latch to make sure it works before you test teh switch; I've heard of a couple people testing it and then the key wont open it
