Changing timing belt etc. Need list of parts to change

I am going to have my timing belt and related stuff changed. I need the list of parts I should have replaced. I also need to know what belts are in there. Does the timing belt drive the water pump or is there a seperate belt? On courtesynissan.com at http://www.courtesyparts.com/cgi-bin..._oem_60k-vg30e I see three drive belts with no other description? Which do I need?? This is on a 91 se (VG). Thanks

You need the actual timing belt, and in my opinion, it would be a good idea to replace the water pump itself.

Have your mechanic check the seals (this is a good time) and it would not hurt to change the three drive belts (A/C , Alternator, etc).

I inspected and/or changed these items when I did my timing belt last year on my VG.

Good call. Also, replace your thermostat. It is a very inexpensive part. It is behind your water pump. It makes sense to replace it at the same time. This will save you $$$ later on. Replace your timing belt tensioner too.

I had my timing belt, accessory belts, front main oil seal, camshaft oil seals, tensioner, water pump, thermostat, and the radiator hoses replaced last year. In a perfect world, I think this should be done every 60k miles.

So I should actually get all three drive belts that are listed on the courtesy site I posted?

Yes, all three belts are needed for the engine to function, and you might as well do it while they're in there, since they have to take the belts off and put them back on. It would be wise to also do a full tune up at the same time, the spark plugs must be removed anyways, and it will make your car perform good for another 60,000 miles. As people said before here is a list: t-belt, tensioner, tensioner spring, cam seals, crank seal, water pump, thermostat, drive belts, and if you do the tune-up: NGK spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, fuel filter, check PCV valve, air filter, oil filter, and that's all I can think of. Take care of any leaky coolant hoses also. Good luck man, make sure you get all the parts from courtesy and don't forget to mention you're a member of the .org.

Yes, I believe it is 25% I didn't ask when I ordered but it's something.

Are the distributer cap and rotor in the same location they will be working in when replacing the belt and water pump?

yeah, but with 3 screws..it's off and you can pop a new cap and rotor on. It'll take about 5-10 min. to do.

Just to point this out, but most mechanics wont replace the coolant unless you specify. I know its sad but it does happen. So ask for fresh antifreeze 50/50 mix.
