Hello i have a 89 GXE i believe, and when i turn on the driving lights they come on fine, but then all the interior lights go out, When i step on the brake they come back on. I cannot figure out what it is, and yes i did search. I also checked every single fuse with my test light and they are all working, none are blown and all put out power. What else can i check? my next thought was to pull out the dash and check the lights but i dont think they are blown since they come on when i hit the brakes..Thanks for the help.

Dunno. Check all your bulbs to see that they are the right ones and that they are seated right. Sounds like a bad ground or maybe a power wire that's grounding or is crossed with another.

Have you done any work lately related to these lights?

No it was working perfectly, the only thing is the factory radio was removed, but no wires where cut or left hanging around loose. Simply disconnected the wiring harness and taped it up along with the antenna.

however the door courtesy lights are all out except the passenger rear one.
