pressure problem!! i think

Is there anyway that the fuel pressure could mess up when the engine gets warmed up? What is happening is that i have a heisitation when i hit the gas from a stop (when engine is warm), and when i am cruising at about 40-45mph and i hit the gas the rpms go up to 2000 and then fall down to about 1400 (when engine is warm) and i have to punch it to accelerate! very annoying, so could the fuel pressure cause this? and if it can what do i have to change? fuel pressure regulator, or the fuel pump? thanks in advance!!

you said clogged filter, but if it is a clogged filter wouldn't it do that all the time not just when the engine is warmed up?

Re: pressure problem!! i think

also there is a small hole in my fill tube for my gas tank. it only drips a little out when i fill it up, and it doesn't leak when i am driving it, but my question is could that be somehting to do with the problem, because it isn't air tight and can't get any pressure!! i don't know if there is supposed to be any pressure in the fuel tank. just leting you guys know. thanks
