Cruise problems

Ive searched for an hour and no one has the same symptoms as i do.

I turn the cruise on the light on the switch comes on, push the set button cruise comes on then goes off after a second (the green light in the gauges also comes on and goes out but doesnt flash). I know it does work cause it has worked 2 times before but i have no idea whay it would work those times and then now any help please?

when I was fixing my cruise, I found that when I had a bad cruise actuator in, the green light on the gauges would come on for a few seconds but then go off after the speed dropped about 10mph or so below what I tried to set it at

I just posted this a few times last week, but oh well

if you remove lower dash on drivers side (9 or so screws), look to the right of the steering column, gray plastic box is the door lock timer, directly behind it is a metal box that is the ASCD controller (automatic speed control device=cruise)

one relay under the hood

Re: Cruise problems

That symptom sounds like the actuator ( I know, when I installed a new one and forgot to reconnect the harness, it did the same thing). YOu can get a replacement at a slavage yard for about $15.
