92 SE, Advice needed
Hi everyone- We have a 92SE with 154K miles. The engine is very strong, and it pulls very hard in every gear. Here are the problems with it:
-VTC's are ticking, but still work
-The clutch chatters (its the original) $585 to replace it
-Back windows dont work (regulators) I used a custom bracket so they stay shut, and disconnected the power window motors
-Rough idle sometimes at warm up (possibly caused by the VTC's?)
Other than that, the car is great. Its pearl white, the body is straight, the interior is nice, and the transmission shifts smooth. Its had synthetic oil changes since 80K miles, and the fuel pump was replaced at 125K miles.
I need to know what everyone thinks I should do. Here are a list of options:
1. Sell it as is ($2500 - $3000?)
2. Replace the clutch and drive it till it drops
3. Trade it in
We really enjoy this car, but I feel like its a time bomb. Based on the experience of everyone on this site, can I get some advice on what to do with it?
Thank you everyone!

What I really want to hear, is one of the following responses:
"Dude that thing has an iron block, its bullet proof. I just so happen to live in the Phoenix area and will change out that clutch for $250 because I am a nice guy."
"I am a Maxima collector, I would like to offer you $5000 if you'll take it."
"Try ZMAX, it fixed my VTC's and my clutch."
I understand its Sunday, I will wait till Monday for some serious responses.

"dud, that thing has an iron blco, it's buller proof. too bad i just so happen to live in the Pompano area and do not know how to change out that clutch for any amount even though i'm a nice guy."
"i am a Maxima collector, I would like to offer $5000 if you'll take it, but then again, i'd like to have $5000, and if i did, i would probably then not want to offer it to you."
"Don't try ZMAX"

Re: 92 SE, Advice needed
Call courtesy and order new regualtors. while you're at it order the clutch and have a shop do the labor. this is bound to save you money over the $585. My '89 clutch chattered, has 210,xxx miles on it, so I got underneath the dash and adjusted the pedal height. Cured the problem for the time being. Must have gotten the lazy leg syndrome.

Great idea on the temporary clutch adjustment, I will give it a shot.
I might have to think about the regulators...
Gracias.
