I have a 1990 maxima and am interested in doing the bmw 3 series headlight conversion. Ive seen them on a few 3rd generation maximas on the site and was wondering if anyone was selling them or could tell me where to get them. thanks

hmmmmmmm 265 already done or 75 and i do it myself?
hmmm i think the 265 would be worth it so i won't have to deal with the aggrivation.
how are the light bulbs they give you with the full set? are those the bright whites?

It says the bulbs used are Phillips 9005 and 9006. That should be pretty bright.

Try again, tht is brighter then our sorry *** Maxima stock headlights, but nowhere near Jdwyer and my ZKW Parabolic/Freeform H7 headlights. Gotta love those H7 bulbs a lot not to mention the glass headlight lense opposed to the old plastic POS design.

Wanna know more IM me on AOL at DJThrilla2 or call me (859) 224-9551

Hmmm...Has anyone had any experience assembling these kits? Kind of got my curiosity up...I assume they don't come with bulbs.

I can do tem no problem, but it is best if you simply get the Euro Ellipsoids with Angel eyes if you are dead set on them from the German maker called "InPro." These are usually the ones that are being sold on EBay and other places as a complete set and even some people in the states now sell them here locally.

Thanks,

So since they are already assembled, do I still have to drill on my max? Do I still have to do the headlight housing modifications?? Or are they ready for installing in place of my stock ones?

Do the BMW headlight housings fit perfectly where your stock ones are? cause other wise its gonna be a B**** to install them.

No they don't fit without modification...we still use BMW headlights, we are modifying the inside, not the outside of them. So many people have done the E36 conversion, its not all that difficult.

Is there any way to make the angel eye ring any brighter? Are these the fiber optic rings or is that a different kit all together?

Those are the European Ellipsoid style..

Specifically the headlights N34jz put a link to utilize the H1 bulb architecture with authetic angel/demon eyes just like the ones on the new 5 series.

Those are the ones made by InPro and are extremely well made. Look at that guy's EBAY feedback and you should see he is a good EBay Seller. He was one of if not the first one to sell these and other european ellipsoid and Parabolic-freeform, BMW E36 Headlights. There are also a few guys in the states (can't remember their usernames on ebay for the life of me right now) that sell the European Ellipsods, the ZKW Parabolic-FreeForm headlights using h7 bulbs (I have these). I believe they are in Hartford, CT if I remember correctly, so anyone maybe know of them on here.

Also check out these sites for more links and connections for BMW e36 body style mods and headlights...

You could most likely get the angel eyes from the dealership but I guaranteee you will pay a ton for them. Simply get them from the other guy on this thread that sells them or go out and do a search for them on the websites I gave you or use my website as a resource to link over to some others that I didn't mention before!

How do you convert these to HID or Xenon? The E36 headlight conversion is one that I have wanted to do for quite some time, but I wanted to wait and do everything at once.

This is a really cool and inexpensive visual mod. Can't wait for version2 to come out, does someone have a link to do the e36 mounting install?

inpro...was going to buy...not anymore. i've seen the lights in person and recently got the chance to see them lit up at day and nightime. lights are great quality but the output of the rings leaves something to be desired. If you want true "halos" you have to pay to play. most of these "kits" out there are LED rings that don't put out very much light. also they tend to get weaker as they get used. Fiber optic kits are the way to go and I may have something for everyone in the upcoming month.
