battery replacement
IMO
If you don't have a high power stereo system just stick with a stock replacement. Choose a place where you can warranty the battery without any headaches and worry, for this I would suggest going to Sears. They should have couple of batteries to choose from, you and your wallet will make that choice. The reason I like Sears because you can return a battery for warranty or proration without any agruements, that fact they are nation wide helps also. Just stick with any nation wide store.

Unless you have a killer stereo system or something of that sort, a stock replacement battery will do you just fine.
The original battery in my car was still worked fine, but I could tell the starter was beginning to crank slower after 6 years and 80,000 miles.
I went to Sears and got a Die Hard Gold GRP 35 (640CCA/800CA) Battery. It came with a 84 month warranty.
After 61,000 miles and 50 months, I haven't had any problems.

oh if it makes any difference, optima is the #1 brand of 4wheelers also, winches are hell on the battery, if you dont have a good one, your winch may be worthless, and itll drain it alot faster than a stereo
, but optimas keep people running. just some food for thought.

Go with Optima
I don't have a "killer" stereo but I do have 3 MTX amplifiers. It seems like I had tried every brand out there; they all pretty much would die after a few winters up here in the northeast chill (and a few incidents of me leaving my lights on); then I got the Optima yellow top.
It rocks. It's a bit more expensive, but it's a different technology (drycell vs the common acid/electrolyte-type). They can take you draining them all the way and charging them back up many many times before [even] trying to die.

if you don't have too many electrical stuff like a stereo system or lots of fog lights. I think the best thing for you to get is an INTERSTATE battery. Interstate battieries are a little expensive but they're the best. Also Optima Batteries are made by Interstate batteries. Hope this helps.
