300z motor swap?

This weekend I happened to be walking around a local car show, when I saw a 300z.The car was cool, but what caught my eye was the engine code on the hood.VG30det a turbo VG? Obviously it wont fit in a front drive max with the 300z intake manifold. But would the short block fit.If so is there any internal differences that would make this motor better for boosting than a stock VG out of a max.I dont know Im just rambling.

not another turbo question

No turbo, just the block and heads and is there any difference.Thats what I was suggesting.Would it be any better for supercharging or nitrous? The tubbo thing has been done and its a little too involved for me.But swapping the short block for a stronger unit and hooking up some nos wuold be a lot less hassle.

to me swapping out the bottom end is more hassle than installing the turbo..

Re: not another turbo question

1. the z31 heads flow worse than the 3rd gen Maxs
2. just get JE to make some custom 9:1 forged pistons for your current block and run all the NOS you want(not really but you get me)

3. search, search, search (the best of the 3 rules)

A VG30ET will fit. A VG30DET will not. It is DOHC and to wide for our cars.
