I just bought a 1992 Nissan Maxima SE. The past owner doesn’t have the Owner’s Manual and also doesn’t know if it has a factory alarm system o remote locking door. Could some one help me to know what the security light in the dashboard means. How can I get the O. manual?

I thought that the 3rd gen wasn't native to South America only US & Canada. In any case, Nissan dealer may be able to order one for you (at a cost, probably). Otherwise, try the South American Nissan site to find it and see about ordering a manual. If not try the US/NA Nissan site and ask for help.

It´s the american Maxima Version. The are some other Maximas in Argentina, I think 20 or 30 more. The one I own is a black 1992 SE and it´s supposed to be a Limited Edition. It´s in a really good condition. The only thing not working is the Bose Audio System, which I´m allready changing with an in-dash CD player.
I´ll ask the Nissan dealer for the O. manual. And I found the security light and the factory alarm are working OK.

Can I use high wattage bulbs (100/80) without changing the factory front lights wiring ?
