I just had my front axles replaced in my 91 SE and now when i hit 5MPH the ABS light comes on. Has anyone run into this before?

To determine what the problem is, go into the trunk and under the rear deck the ABS computer should be flashing a red LED. Count the number of flashes. THis has to be done after you drive the car for at least one mile. ALso, the car must be running when the LED is inspected. DOuble check to make sure you don't have multiple codes and then get back to me with the number of flashes and I will tell you what is causing your ABS light to come on.

shop says

My guy at the shop says the axle has 2 more teeth on the gear than it is supposed to have. Supposedely it is supposed to have 44 teeth on the gear but instead it has 46. Has anyone heard of this being the case? Does anyone know if the 92-94 has more teeth maybe?

same thing...

Well, I replaced my left inner CV boot a month ago and I broke my left front ABS sensor. I don't know how I broke it but when I measure the resistance, it is open circuit. I think the sensor is very fragile so the bang and boom during the axle work might have broken my sensor. I have yet to find a replacement sensor from junk yard. Car-Parts.com doesn't seem to list it.

let me know what sensor you need and when I get around to it i'll grab one from a yard here in St. Paul. Two weeks ago I picked up a right rear for $5.00.

Thanks for your offer to help. Mine is a 92SE Auto. The ABS sensor I need is the one for the left-front wheel. I have the OEM part number written down and I'll post it here tomorrow. Let me know when you are going and how I can mail you a check. Regards. - AC
