engine swap
I have a 1989 maxima se with 296,000 miles on it. The tranny is slipping also. I wanted to know were there any performance engines avaliable for my car? I mean since I was going to replace the tranny to.

To save you from flames, search about the engine swaps. There aren't any. If your rich then there's alot. If your car is in good condition best bet would be to installed a used engine/tranny. You shouldn't rebuild the tranny alone because that engine has some severe miles on it.
