howcome in arrrghhh's left headlamp, there seems to be a "gap" or blank area in the led halo rings, while the right headlamp looks fine? is that how they're supposed to look?

i think they look fine, but they're just custom made halo rings, they're not exactly professionally designed to fit perfectly, and they're hot glued (at least it looks hot glued) to the projectors and high beams. i mean if you're that picky about the angel eyes don't get 'em. cuz they're all gonna be custom made (i believe he did them from this) i mean do the retrofit yourself if you're worried about how it looks. then the only person to blame is yourself.

dont get me wrong, they look hot as hell. i was just curious to why they appeared that way, i was thinking thats where the power may enter to provide the electricity to the leds. i'm just wondering if there's a reason that's all.. somethin like that is not gonna stop me from ordering a pair when i get my $$ in order.

well if you look at that link i put in the other page, it is taped @ the top. i'm sure you can ask maxgtr tape them all the same as best he can, and make a larger/smaller gap. or, if you do it yourself it'll come out exactly as you want it.

its a little different. angel eyes I believe are more of a Halo. Demon eyes don't really connect to give it more of an evil kind of look.

maxgtr2000,

I gave you my lights back in the beginning of Feb. When are you going to finish it? I need them ASAP. It's been way too long. Not even close to the turn around time you suggested.

I believe his life got really hectic in the last few months.

Two weeks ago he moved to Washington state. Quite a haul from TN. He should have an update for you soon I'm sure. He's a great guy just the move came up. I was surprised he was moving.

Just try to sit tight. I know its hard, but the wait will be worth it when you get them back!

Yeah, I know. I've been waiting patiently for months. I just need my lights soon because I need my lights to get my car repaired. My car has just been sitting here unusable without these lights.

My apologies to Larcenist and ACEEMaxima for the time frame on these lights. Larcenist waited the longest and I apologize. I had a bunch of things going on with the move, trying to get housing, the car acting up, getting a job, things changed over, etc. I also went from an office job to hard manual labor I'm still in a tailspin but if your lights are not ready to ship Mon 5-22-06 your retrofit will be free. I've also told Larcenist numerous times it would be ready but it was not, ready to ship by such a date and it was not, for that I apologize...I'm working on them right now. Alot of times retrofits take longer than expected.

[QUOTE=arrrghhh]it's done! i got them back! i gots pix to post, but no HID's yet... if anyone has a good deal on bulbs/ballasts let me know! i really want an OEM setup for ballasts, and probably phillips 4300k. oh and i only have the one high beam up... i'll try to get more pics, but it might be a while before i get ballasts/bulbs. enjoy!

To maxgtr2000, What would I need/and how much would it cost to have my lights look just like this^^^^^!!!! I don't want to get HID, just projectors. I have no idea how this lighting works but it looks SUPER nice, can you let me know what my options could be. Also I would want the Low/high beam combo, Cuz I don't understand how some people are saying they have both bulbs but only the lows work???

Thanks!

Not doing the angel eyes anymore they were just a outright pain, if you are staying halogen you need to get a set of h7 projectors. They can be found on audi or you can get mdx projectors, I think they are like h11 or something..I'm not sure.

maxgtr, how's it goin? hope everything went OK with the move... at any rate, i finally decided to tear into the headlights and tried to fix the high beam problem. I've tried every combination of possible selections between the diodes and the different high beam wiring into the stock plug. I emailed you about this earlier because I can't figure out a solution. I sent it to awint@netzero.net. I hope that still your Internet address if it's not please get back to me. Thank you

Parts are roughly:
New maxima headlights (recommended) $150 shipped
Hid bulbs 4300k oem pair $75 shipped
Ballast used $180+ shipped
Projectors $100-$200 shipped

But you can find deals wherever used headlights, etc.
