GI: 99 JWT ECU w/7200 RPM cutoff
NOW FOR SALE!!!!
My 99 JWT ECU, 7200 RPM limit. Self diagnostic screw never used (still a virgin
This ECU gave me extended RPM, extended useable RPMs(powerband) and more power throughout full RPM range. This ECU does give you codes but for me the power increase is more than worth it. (Like a Ypipe) I'm having some problems with the driveability with my car through no fault of this ECU but to fix them I've taken it out, I'd really like to fix the issues and keep it but it might do others more good than me. This is a rare ECU as I think this is one of only 4 right now, maybe 5. The price I'm looking for is around $580 picked up or $600 shipped. If I recall you can't get an ECU like this for much less than $700 from JWT(maybe more).

I'm not sure, I would probably say there isn't but it may be possible. It's a 96 ECU with JWT POP upgrade/remap then it's configured to work on a 99 by switching some internals.
I don't think you mentioned if it's auto or stick and I don't think you mentioned if it's CA or Fed. What codes do you get with it? Was this one of the experimental ECUs programmed from a '96 ECU to work in a '99?

Thanks Jon! Right, my car is a cali spec 99, maybe these codes wouldn't appear or not as many on a fed spec 99. I'm not sure...
1. P0443: Evap Emission control system Purge Valve C fault
2. P0705: Trans Range Sensor Circuit malfunction (PRNDL Input)
3. P1400: Manf control aux emission controls
4. P1445: Manf control aux emission conrtols
5. P1220: Manf control fuel air metering

Alright guys, I'm in no pucker to sell this ECU. If it doesn't sell I'll just hook it back up since my car feels like a slug without it right now. If I lower the price it won't be by much, and it won't be for a while I think. But after all that, BUMP!!

Oh, Jon. Let me know when you're going to start going to the strip and I'll come along with the ECU(and my max) and we'll have a hayday of it dude! I have fridays saturdays and sundays off now so it's no problem at all
What about the warm start issues? Also, the starting issues after getting gas at the gas station? etc etc. There were a few more issues than a few codes.... Did Zach342 ever redyno with the reflashed ECU (for the second time around) and actually show gains? More info please......

The warm start issue was not either, I accepted it as what it was. You basically have to give it gas if it sounds like it's going to die out. Sounds like a v8 when you have to choke it when that happens. The ECU is pretty fuel hungry especially on warm starts. Cold starts appearently are not the ECUs fault as I still need to give it gas everytime I start it with the stock ecu.
I'm not sure if there are any dyno'd proof of gains but I'm more than positive that it's a decent amount, feels like a 15HP gain throughout. I'll take it to the drag strip that Jon hits soon and time the differences. If there was a MEVI or SC/TC you would compound the benefit of an ECU like this.
I'll try to find and anchor the other thread to this so I can answer questions better and everyone knows whats goin on too.

Ok guys, I said I wouldn't do it but I will anyway. Lowering the price of the ECU to $500 Shipped until tomorrow morning. I'm buying an additional car and the extra cash could help hold it til the loan goes through.

Umm, I'm not sure. I know that JSutter(Jon) and I popped a stock 99 auto cali ECU into my 5spd 99 cali max and it started the first try but couldn't stay running for longer than a second. and after that it wouldn't even start. So I think it would be the same in reverse.
