Shops can have extra paint and clear coat on the shelf. This will bring the supply cost down a bit Especially since 1 of my cars is black . Seeing that i am having both bumpers replaced I would asume that requires removal of my head lights. Also an average paint job does not require painting the engine bay door or trunk jams etc. (Unless you are changing the color) "Doubt" my fellow org member is why you will probably spend $3500 on a paint job rather than doing your research like i did and saving a few bucks.
Think before you speak Think before you post . Try not to be so negative.
Believe what you want, noob. May the force be with your shotty paint job.

And what does this have to do with him ripping you on being a star wars/trekkie fan? You really need to brush up on your grammar a little; it's difficult reading your posts.

Hahah the only reason why i reset it is because my dad had the same problem on his car with 35K miles and reset the ECU and the codes never came back. If they come back I will by all means fix them but i didnt feel like spending $300 in parts and labor to fix my cat and KS that just passed emissions 3 weeks before it tripped.

now please /thread

I'm not going into a full detail argument because I don't give a ****. Think about it...how much does decent paint and clear coat really cost? How many coats are they putting down? Are they painting the door jams, engine bay, removing the headlights, etc etc? I highly doubt it.

400 bucks for a paint job that still shines? Maaco must've had a hell of a coupon.

Go do a search and you'll see that 9/10 a decent paint job cost AT LEAST (and the very least) 1500...and that's pushing it.

May the force be with you? wtf?

Hmmmm can anyone tell me whats wrong with this paragraph.
1.Fragment sentences
2.Profanity
3.unable to use parts of speach
4.Should I go on.
How about we call a truce, being that you are from "the geighborhood"

You are the last person that should be giving grammar lessons, trekkie.

Bottom line is that you placed this thread in the wrong section like a noob. Then you started to whine like a girl when I said that any good paint job costs more than your proposed 800 dollars.

Do you even know where the "geighborhood" is?

Mods, please close this thread. It is sad that two 24 year old males are arguing about worthless, ignorant stuff which isn't beneficial to the real reason we all are here, to learn and help others with our love for Maxima's.

nissan oem paint costs 200$ so stfu about it all of you

prices in CA are through the roof and cannot be used as a measure for hickville, ID

it also depends on the details of the paint job. if you are respraying the base coat + clear it is not that expensive. 200-300/panel.
