FS: 98 Stock Headunit

EDIT: It's NOT a Bose headunit, just the stock Clarion hu.

I just replaced replaced my stock headunit with an Alpine so I have no need for this anymore. It's in great condition with almost no scratches. I'm looking to get $55 shipped obo.

Thanks for letting me know that, I don't want to misrepresent what I'm selling. I remember reading that the bose headunit was made by Clarion, so when I saw that my hu was made by them I just figured I had a bose hu.

Is there anyway I can have a mod change the title, I also posted this in the Audio/Electronics section so could I have that title changed too? I also lowered the price to $55 shipped since it's not a bose.

Haha no problem. Actually, unless it is stamped by Clarion on the back, it is not made by them either. 97-99s used identical faceplates for the non-Bose models. The way to distinguish if it is a Bose/Clarion (same) or a non-Bose is if it says Bose on the tape deck and if it is stamped Clarion on the back.

OK, so I got a sticker on the top of my headunit that says it was made by Clarion.

So does this mean that I actually have a Clarion unit which is identical to BOSE but just a different brand name??

I'll do $45 shipped as long as its in good working order and minimal scratches. All the number/letters light up fine? Cassette deck/CD player work??

email me ksaljuki@gmu.edu I don't check the boards often. Thanks.

Maybe Clarion made both for the 97+, hmm...got me on that one.

But it is not Bose compatible if it does not have the Bose label on the tape deck, that is all.

Sold. What will I need to make this swap work? My dad currently has a 96 Maxima SE with a cassette deck/radio. Single-din I think (if I used the terminology correct). Thanks.
