IL - 96 Fed Spec JWT ECU Modified for 99 Maxima
Up for sale is my JWT ECU modified to work in a 99 Maxima. Has basic JWT fuel map, timing curve, etc. with a 8,000 RPM rev cut. Forgot to mention this will only work for a manual 99. It's a NA application, not for forced induction.
Asking price is $600 firm plus shipping. I don't think there are too many of these floating around for us 99 Maxima guys.
JWT charges $595 and you have to send them your ECU and have the down time of not being able to drive your car unless you have an extra ECU lying around. I had to pay an additional $100 to have them re-wire it to work with the 99 NATS.
Here are a couple pics. If no one buys it I'll probably end up paying another $100 and resend it to JWT to have them take away the 99 NATS mod.

What exactly is better about this ECU than my stock one? Just a higher red line and different fuel map (more fuel/less fuel at certain RPM ranges?)

It's basically like adding on another Y-pipe if you had one on your car. More horsepower and torque along with advanced timing, fuel maps, idle and raised rev limit, etc. You won't have a high idle with this when the car is idling at a stop light or in neutral.

So I wouldn't notice any different regarding my daily driving, but if I WOT I will feel a difference?
Sounds nice...I'll have to give it some real thought. Is this from a 99 Cali. or Fed. (I think there was a few of them)?
