She sure looks good on the outside! Good luck with the sale, if I lived near you, I'd just buy this to have it, just in case! Good price!

So is this just a cleaned up engine, with 97k miles? Or has it been overhauled and now has like 100 miles?

Yeah that's what I thought, figured it couldn't hurt to ask and make sure. What are you going to school for?

haha, that's ironic, I have similar aspirations. Also in Houston. I'm going for my finance bachelor though.

Just an FYI,
I purchased this a while back, finally got around to putting it in few weeks back and have had nothing but issues with it.
This thing turned out to be the biggest POS.
He claimed it had 60k when it did in fact have 97k. He also stated he replaced all seals/gaskets however he did a super crappy job. It has leaked oil like crazy since it first turned over. Clean? All he did was spray paint everything silver. Ive driven this thing maybe a total of 300 miles and it now has rod knock. Pulled the oil pan and at the bottom of it was a bunch of copper shavings.
This thing is done before it was really even up and running.
300.00 wasnt a ton of money, but I put a lot of time into doing the sawp and then dealing with all the mishaps. Thanks a lot guy!

Trust me, if I knew how to get a hold of him I would.
I drove to Houston to pick it up, I live in Austin so it was about a 3.5hr trip one way. Once there I saw that he was fairly young and thought uh oh... but his dad assured me the "motor was good". He even stated they were taking a loss on it. I did turn it to insure it wasnt seized.
The thing was pretty bare, no sensors etc. so I had to transfer everyting over which was no big deal since I was already needing to transfer over my top end.
I did put some time into the swap though, as well as money. I had to pay a friend of mine to use his shop and lift, as well as the materials and etc.
The car had developed a flickering oil light shortly after being turned over and some knocking noise as well. So I drained the oil, pulled the pan and discovered this....

That sucks bro, but in those pics of the bottom end and timing gears, looks like it went quite some time between oil changes. BTW-are you boosting that motor?
