I'd be in for boards after xmas.

4th gen will pretty much be dormant for winter as well so good to add for spring.

If we can arrange a group buy, I would be down for making another set of tails. 95-96 and 97-99

Good to see you back on the Org Brian!!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS TAILS!!
Had kzoosho build mine years ago and they still work flawlessly and love the look. Although i have never seen LED tails on a 95-96...

Imo the price for tails and boards is highly costly...or at least from most... housings are 100 bucks so when people charge 400 a set that shows greed.. i would think 250-300 with housings plus shipping costs would be a good price....boards arent much and good leds...well...4-5 bucks each....so youd still make some money but i guess not everyone is in it to help out another member...

Not sure if you have ever sat and soldered taillights or not. But lets do some math since u feel the price is high. There are 96 leds, 4 leads per led, 1 resistor per 4 leds, a resistor pack per board.

Thats a total of 384 solder joints for leds, 24 solder joints for leds, and omnly 4 solder joints for the resistor pack. May i ask how long u think that would take? Not trying to be a **** or anything. If u feel you can do them cheaper then by all means offer up a product. Myself and others that have done this knows what it takes and our prices IMHO are low to help the org.

With time and money, the tail builder would maybe break even if lucky at that price. It wouldn't even be worth it to take the serious amount of time to make the boards. You'll find out for yourself whenever you make your first set.

kzoosho has given me a deal on just the brake light boards. If anyone wants to join in the group buy let me know. I have three so far. PM me or him for details.

MAXIMA_STYLE- you got lucky buying those tails for $150. I would have got them buy didnt wanna deal with stripping the black tint of the tails and or rebaking my tails to swap boards out.

And it's not like it's a short amount of time. If working day after day full time (nearly impossible since we do have other priorties) it'll probably take three or four days. Add up those hours and figure out how much your time is worth.

We're not tryna sell ourselves short here or waste our time. That's as if I would charge $50 for a retro job. At that price, it wouldn't even be worth it (time or money wise).

Kind of had to laugh to myself when the guy said these should be sold for around 250-300. Sure, if he wanted to do charity work, then yea. But most of what you are paying for is the time the person is taking to do it, not so much parts. $400 is not an outrageous price for these and obviously the person would want to make money off of this. Pretty good for some custom taillights if you ask me.

Noob question, but what would be the repair process if an LED burned out? What would be the life span for these types of tails? That would be my only concern. I've stuck with my OEM tails in hopes of getting a pair of LED's. Would definitely be in for a group buy. Also, would these have the sort of sequenced turn signals like Kevlo's?(I think thats where I saw them)

I was stating that price for boards and harnesses...no tails included... ive seen people sell kevlos for 450-500 with tails..and yes i got lucky at 150...however i have 3 burnt out blinker leds that need repairing... i like the fact that only so many orgers have kevlos...makes some people kind of unique...cause theres SOOOO many people eith the same exact mods it is nice to have some not too many people have ...

If one burns our i would most deff replace it. I have yet to have a red burn out. I had some ambers in a set of corners i did burn out but i think that was due to moisture and not the leds. Also kevlo's are not sequential at all. They are 3 row leds similar to what i make. I use a few less leds and space it to make it my own. This way i dont step on a fellow org'rs toes
