WTB 99 A/C compressor or Clutch Assembly

A/c is making the notorious bearing growl. Want to try to fix this without dropping $300+ at the parts store. Would be easier if I could get a clutch assembly with a good bearing already pressed in. I realize this is kinda hard to come by so a good, QUIET, full compressor would be great also. will need to be shipped to N.Florida.

I have a perfectly working 95 A/C compressor and a 2002 compressor that came off a running vehicle. I'm keeping one with only 25k miles on it. I have THREE compressors in my garage atm lol. If either of those will fit I have them and can ship from Stuart, FL. Make me an offer and I can ship on Monday from my work.

I just performed this fix - bearing replacement for a/c pulley. It was not too bad and the bearing was only ~$25. Just need to find someone with a press or do it carefully with a socket, hammer and gentle touch. Good luck.

I want to do the fix but I cant find the right tools to do it anywhere in my neck of the woods. Mainly the press and the clutch holder so I can actually get the assembly off. I wish I could since swapping the compressor would mean having to pay somone to evacuate my system but it is an easier fix.

I am having the same issues. Brought to it a mechanic who told me the entire thing would need to be changed instead of only the bearing and clutch section. Does anyone have any information they can give on this? Can the entire thing really go bad just like that? It still cools and everything...but just makes noise when not running.

still looking. been away from the forum while I was out of town getting married. I will most likely look to online parts shop for a used one if I cant track one down in the next week or so. Still stupid hot here in Jville. I have also noticed that my idle isnt quite as strong as it was with the compressor connected. Havent had any issues with the bypass but I think ive lost about 50 rpm off my idle now that ive been driving on it for about 6 weeks.
