What the heck is that...

I cleaned my throttle body today. That was an experience. Anyway, my odded car has the regular air filter "box." What the heck is between the air filter box and where the tubbing meets the metal...the triangle thing. And where is the IACV? What does it look like? Any1 have a pic?

As far as your other question, I'm not sure I understand it fully. Triangle thing where the (tubing I assume) meets the metal? Look at this pic....can you point to it? Or is it obscured....

I bet he's talking about the square resonator part.

BTW, does anyone know why they designed the resonator that way? I realized why they have the accordian section though. Most OEM cars have those sections because they're flexible, and when changing the air filter, it provides easy up/down movement.

That's the resonator that Chris is referring to. Accordion section, resonator, MAF, airbox.
