go with coilovers so in the winters you can raise the car, otherwise you are going to scrape like a bad ***** everywhere

based on your original post i figured you were only concerned with the winter, but either way, once you drop your car, especially with a kit you will have to worry about scraping no matter what. I have a 1.6 inch drop with no kit and I have problems with most speed bumps, driveways, etc. If you are carefull, pay attention, and take it slow it wont be a problem. It all depends on whether or not you want to worry about scraping all the time when you drive somewhere.

I have this type of set up and I scrape like a ****!. I'm trying to be as careful as I can, but some times I have to eat it.

scraping will happen. thats the bad part of getting a kit but the coilover setup like Black019 stated seems smart since you can adjust it to a setting where you can mininmize scrapage yet still have control on how low you want to go when you feel like it.

apparently coil overs aren't good for winter, some ppl were saying that the salt gets all over the coilovers and corrodes things so eventually you can't adjust them...

though it can be lies.. who knows :P

For winter coilovers is another option you may have!!!With a kit just be a bit careful where you drive, the streets are nicer here in atlanta I just installed a new stillen with new paint and guess what within two weeks the unexpected happens I scraped it exiting a supermarket that has a slight hill to it. there goes a new Lip ooh well no biggie!!!
