just wondering if the blue tine on top of the windshield really affects the readings...and wondering if anybody out there has a pic of their v1 postion...also ideas on how to wire it with the igintion

 

I put mine right in the middle of the windshield.

 

THe best location is right in the middle of the windshield. The only drawback is that it dead obvious there. Sometimes i clip mine to my visor or velcro it to my dash. Just some ideas.

 

I've never been concerned with "obvious", since it's legal in my state. Besides, the cops can't see it from 1000+' away when they are shooting radar at me. By the time they can see the V1 in the window, I'm too legal for them to mess with me.

 

Does anyone know were I can get a really good deal on one of those????

I think....Mine is mounted between the headliner and
rear view mirror. Hard wired to the fuse box on a
open 12volt (switched) lead....Ran the wire around the
upper headliner and down the windshield piller down to
the fuse box on the drivers side....Used a plastic putty
knife (2" wide) to gently push the wire into the headliner
and piller...Can't see the wire at all....

V1 is $399.00 plus shipping from the factory
Best Detector on the planet...Also, very good info
on the V1 website about tinted windows and performance
of the V1...Check out their website
