Performance Cams for the max?

Does anyone make them or do you have to have them specially made? Anyone actually swap out their cams?

Like I said, camshafts for the VQ were announced yesterday. they are for the VQ35 but work in the VQ30 with spacers. Look back a few pages and you will find the thread.

My friend had cam gears installed in his car, and he lost it for like 4 or 5 days, but he had othere stuff done to it to , so im not sure how long the install takes...

We need 4 cams... $$$

Our stock cams are insanely conservative... aftermarket cams should give quite nice gains... especially coupled with a VI and JWT ECU like me hehe.

One problem is because of our timing chain, we don't have the ability to adjust the cam timing, like hondas do. At least that is my understanding.

So Neal do you think that 40HP est. is accurate? How much power and torque do you think we'll see in the low RPM band?

here's my take on this whole thing... why spend so much money on a car that will not handle (corners). i mean yea i have mods done and what not, but the money for cam work and all of that....... why not just save the money for a lil bit and trade the max in and get a car that will actually be able take corners and so on and so forth.I have the mod disease too, but not that bad.

Whats with you and cornering? Not all of us are into that...alot of us like to drag....saying not puting money into the maxima, is like saying dont put money into any car... the maxima, has so much potential

Just my 2 cents

well maybe you should get yourself a civic! apply your mod disease to that, and get the great handling you crave so much?

of course then i'll be walking a block faster than it will take you to reach the end of it in your "handling superb" civic.

that's my take on the whole thing.. besides nobody is forcing you to get the cams (they're not even out yet) unless you feel insane peer pressure from everybody else.
