Fule Pressure Regulater ?'s
I have a 97 se auto that just had a 5 speed swap done. A few members that have dirven and taken rides in my car say that the low end isnt what they exspect out of a 5 speed. One even felt the temp of my exhust and speculated that maybe my car is running a bit lean and I might want to look into a fule pressure regulator, and that I may be able to get my low end back as well as gain some ponnies accross the board. I am still running the auto ecu and I have checked all of the codes being sent. All were auto tranny codes as exspected. You can see all of my mods in my sig. I have next to no knolage about A/F ratio's and tunning. If you all can help me out and give me some info I would be greatfull.

Sounds like enough scientific proof to me. Just be sure to bring his magic hand to the dyno so you can tune your FPR...

If you read, I said it was speculation, this is why Im looking into this matter. No need to post if your not going to offer any help or insite.

Ben is just bringing out a good point... I doubt if you will see any benefits of getting a FPR unless you have a power adder (NOS, SC, Turbo). You may be able to lean it out a little bit to gain a horse or two (literally)... I don't think it would be a good investment IMHO. You would have to dyno tune it for a couple of hundred bucks too.

Our cars all ready have a FPR. IT didn't sound like he was recommending that he get a air/fuel management system. My car lately has been acting up and I'm suspecting the fuel pump or regulator. Hopefully, it's the regulator since it's cheaper. Good luck.

When the term FPR is used, it usually refers to an aftermarket adjustable unit.
Not a very good investment on an NA max...
