where to buy upper pipe for hybrid intake?
i am getting ready to put in a hybrid intake. i've searched the forums trying to figure out where to buy this piece. there was a thread about some seller on ebay, but he has a rating of -4, lol. and i really would rather just buy it made, then construct one myself...

What else is in involved in consturcting a hybrid? What other peices do i need and do you know where i can find them?
auto parts store (if you want the metal piece) and home depot (or the similiar) for the rest of the parts, or if you want the rubber coupling, everything cna be found at home depot...the metal piece costs less, is more sturdier, but i think its harder to make IMO....drilling into rubber is easier than drilling into metal

I just switched from the rubber upper piping to the new metal DIY upper piping. The rubber one took all of a half hour to construct, the metal one was a different story. It took me forever to cut the tube the way I wanted it (I wanted a slight angle on the cut to bump snug up against the intake manifold). The holes for the vacume tubes were a pain to get just the right size. With painting and all it took like 4 hours
But I would rather do it my self. A good feeling of acomplishment.
I did mine myself...15 bucks baby! BTW...If you are expecting HUGE low-end gains don't count on it. I was all excited that I would get a lot of low-end power back, but it's not much at all...however the sound is a lot better! -Dave

If you don't want to spend $50 make it your self. It is just as good.
I would buy that ebay one, but I'm afraid the filter I'm already using is too long to work with it. ???
