automatics W/ NOS!!!!

will the stock tranny hold up to a 60 or 75 shot nos if it has nearly 100,000 miles on it. it is still in great cond. just driven hard the last 10,000 miles. i want to put in nos but dont know if the tranny will last for very long. the nos will be used infrequently so if u know how the tranny will hold up please post. thanks

I say go for it dude. I mean you can either buy a new tranny and sleep better at nights or pass on the NOS. I say spray away!

No one can tell you how long it will last with any certainty. The extra HP will reduce the life expectancy, how much who knows.

I run a 100 shot all the time and have run up to 125 with no adverse affects yet. I have almost 100k and have been running the nitrous for 6 months now.

A 60 or 75 shouldn't break anything.

I had 90,000 when I put my Nitrous in.

I have over 130,000 and I spray 1 bottle a week...

No problems, no VB mod.

Whats the Zex Nos? Or did you mean to say Zex N2O or Zex Nitrous?

u guys are getting long life out of transmissions with nitrous, ive been through 3 bottles and its definitely noticeable that its getting weaker. i only run a 60shot, and i think a few more bottles and the transmission is done, im already having some big time problems. Maybe the 5th gen auto just sucks.

Well if u got the money u can get the new Venom Nos system and control how much hp u want to go into the engine but the price is about $1300 it's just a suggestion.

Sorry, but that is a very dumb comment...

If you run Nitrous correctly and safely you will have no problems.

Chris,
What year is your Max? By your screen name, I'd assume a 2001, but we all know what assuming does You don't have nearly 100,000 on a 2001, do you Everything I've read leads me to believe that your tranny will be fine as long as it is maintained. Like Jime said, he's been running larger shots for awhile with no problems. Jime, do you have a tranny cooler and running synthetic ATF? Just some thoughts.

Yes I have an 11x11 B&M cooler and Mobil 1 Trans fluid. No VB Mod sorry I am not a believer, I just use the dropping resistor switch method.
