strange starting problem
strange starting problem
Have the following problem with my 95.
Car starts fine when the engine is cold, but if I have to turn the engine off and then wait a few minutes until I start it again(less than 30 minutes) car cranks fine, will rev to 1200 rpm and then will die. It usually dies about 3 or 4 times before it gets going. Any suggestions as to what could be causing this??
Thanks in advance.

does it crank long before catching when warm?
mine [95 SE 5peed] does this occasionally. it could be vaporisation of the fuel in the lines in the warm engine compartment. i now 'crack' the throttle [just enough to hold about 1500 rev steady if you can picture it]when warm and hold while cranking. works great every time.
good luck-
