belt tensioner pully

has anyone tried replacing the bearing in the idler pulley? I just changed belts and the bearing felt kinda dry and I can see it causing problems if i don't replace it soon....the dealer wants $70 for the pulley assembly, which is kinda steep in my opinion. Unfortunately i put the pulley back in without writing down the number that was on the bearing too...DOH! Any help is appreciated.

Thanks...John

hey john,
I wanted to replace the bearing but thought i would regrease it and that's what i did.I packed a lot of grease in it before closing with the cover plate.I think the bearing should be OK.I recommend changing the whole idler pulley if you want to do it.did u check for any play or rough running in the bearing??
take care,
Jay
