I have a black Maxima, and it gets REALLY hot sitting in the sun. I was thinking of getting a sun shade for the front, but I don't want to deal with putting it up every day and having it snag on the rear view mirror. I found this Eclipse Sun Shade thing...

Get tinted windows and it wont be nearly as hot.

 

I've got tinted windows, but I guess I need to get darker windows. I bought the car a little more than a month ago, and this is the tint that came on the car. I don't know what percent it is, but it's not THAT dark... and it has this weird greenish mirror to it. Guess I'll get it re-tinted (I want them darker anyways)

 

i have a tan interior and it still gets pretty hot inside on these summer days. i have a sunshade similar to the one you have linked, and it definately keeps the car cooler inside. not only am i worried about the heat when i get in but also keeping the dash in good condition. the sun beating down on the dash worries me so i take the extra couple seconds and put it up in the window.

I have a superblack max too and it does get quite hot. Well, use a sunshade, i don't let my laziness overtake me cuz.... its a maxima! I need tint in my car. What's the best % you guys think for a black maxima.... i want it pretty damn dark. thanks

 

I'm puting 20% on back doors and window and 35% front doors and windshield...

 

I thought that tinting the windshield was against the law?

just on the top of the windsheild above the arrow..........but 20% all the way aroun dis tasty, kinda wish i woulda went a tad darker

 

i have a supablack max too. I got my driver and passenger side windows at 20% and my 2 back window and the back window tinted at 5%. It looks so freaking pimp. I love it. It certainly catches attention wherever i go. Go with the setp i went, you WONT regret it!
