someone explain this

Someone please explain, i read the faq already...anyway.....as I understand it the OD is automatically on by default (light off) when you turn OD off (light on) does that allow you to switch into 4th gear? or is it when its ON that allows you to go into 4th?

... when the "O/D Off" light is lit, you don't have O/D - no 4th gear.

Good for acceleration above 40mph and cruising around town (your brakes may last longer, too) - not good for fuel mileage on the hiway.
