FrankenCar 4th Gen Intake is the Shiiiiit!

I own a 97 Max GXE 5-spd and I got the Frankencar intake installed this Sat boys, and man does it feel sweet. My torque as noted by many of my passengers is thought to be doubled in the butt dyno. The rumble I am now hearing at around 3.5 r.p.m.s and up is incredible, and the car now sounds like the power is really being unleashed. The install was money and I had no problems getting it installed in 20. After the install I went out and found many cars willing to challenge and let an 99 Accord and a Lincoln LS know whos BOSS I am fully excited about this and just wanted to let anyone thinking about buying one that I fully recommend this product.

Thanks Steve!

Sincerely,

TousDaddy

i have had my frankencar intake installed for about a week and a half now, and i love it. it was a piece of cake to install, and i can't get my foot off of the gas. now, is it just me, or is this thing depleting my mpg's. let me know

i had the stillen before...

here's my take

after installing the pipe... i could feel my low end come back.. and the intake growl was ALOT louder.. considering the stock piping had like 2 resonators..the rpm's rise faster.. and my auto-- seems faster only because i dont feel the lag at low rpm's anymore..

i just bought the piping from steve.. and it seriously was one of the best mods coupled w/ the intake that i bought...

intake by itself is also good, but if u have a auto you will experience low end loss and it wont be too loud compared..

the frankencar intake/pipe = win win situation

I'm not sure but the issues I talked to Steve about ins't enough to make me thow it out the window. The pros definitely outweigh the cons.

No more fitment problems, just a few improvisions. Slightly curved coupler to the TB, a little length adjusting, and it was all good.

If FrankenCar ever thinks of future designs for the 4th Gen, I think they should add a slightly angled coupler on the TB-midpipe connection. But other than that, everyting fits fine and it runs great.

I think when u buy the package as a whole rather than just the midpipe with other various parts unrelated to Frankencar it will be a much easier install and fit. Get the whole intake kit for $135 shipped and take care of everything at once. And I agree with the loudness being most significant at above 4500 Still would like to learn about heat shield?

Peace,

TouDaddy

the heat shield could be a nice add on

also, remember, that this intake only gets loud under WOT, so if you are taking your sweet time getting to 60mph, then it will sound pretty much stock, but if you are flooring it the whole way, it roars like there is no tomorrow
