I've read that it's fairly difficult. Plus I don't want to mess it up, and I don't think I'll be getting a instalation kit with it.

I also would probably have a shop do mine... but what kind of a shop would you take it to?

$350-$500 depending upon the competition in your area. Most places cost $400.

Do it yourself. I just did it myself
and it came out beautiful. It is very
time consuming and takes a lot of patience
but, it is real hard to screw it up. The
leather goes on exactly the way the cloth
comes off. It took me 5 hours for the back
seats, 3 hours each front seat and 45 min per
door panel. It is well worth it.

It's not difficult. Just have someone help you hold the cushion while you work with the hog rings. Take your time and don't rush. Do the back seat first, then front seats and then door panels. It's worth a try. If after some time you realize that you can't do it yourself then bring it to the shop. The average price should be $300. But would you really trust them with your new leather?

Get the installation kit, you'll need it for sure.
I am not aware of any instructions. It is very important that you note how the cloth was attached to the cushion before you remove it. Take some pics too, so you can refer to them later on when installing leather covers. It is also a good idea to mark the cushion in those places where the hog rings were and will be attached.
