I recently had the 60,000 mile service done on the car and the last tank of gas I put in it got about 45 miles less than before the service. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Maybe it's the newer tranny fluid..I don't know

They prolly left your engine running during the service for some reason or another. I have come to expect that mechanics don't mind using up gas as long as it's not in their own cars.

Just drive your car until you need to fill it up again. This time fill up the tank completely and drive it like you always did and SHOULD get around the same range in miles as before.

I lent my car to someone for 2 weeks and after two gas tanks, they got 250-260 miles each compared to my usual 350 miles.

Never again, must have been racing or layin the smackdown on my car.

But I have filled it up

I thought the same thing, but I've gone through two tanks of gas and I am now only getting about 270 miles per fill up compared to about 310 before the servicing...40 miles is a long way.

Yeah i have noticed a difference in gas mileage. It could also be what gas you put into your car.

umm

lets see now
I do on average a 32 MPG on highway ^_^
my highest was 36 MPG, cool day, constant 70 Mph and 500 LB+ worth of passenger
hehehehe

the only way you can save gas on the max is
to have it running at constant speed
stop and go really consumes it
heavy foot...kills your MPG fast
and add mods to intake and exhaust
as long as you drive normally

I average umm tops like 15.5 MPG in city
highway..different story...like apple and oranges
=]

Gas mileage

My SE just went over 350 on the last tank. 351 to be exact, I think that was Mobil Super, that's what I get the most from. I just filled it with 89 yesterday so I will have to see if there is a drastic change.

Will my new CAI kill my mileage? Noticeably anyways?

I don't think the CAI will decrease

your MPG...it should increase it I think
I got increased MPG with my pop charger...given I am not heavy footed
your engine breathes better....
umm..
I might be wrong
but that is the general rule of thumb
I think..

Use Amoco 93

all the time and it's still hasn't improved. I think I am going to clean my air filter and see if that helps, it shouldn't make a huge impact though...i guess I'll see

I am still getting bad mileage. Must be because I have to drive to D.C. after school every day. I guess that must effect it a lot.

87, 89, and 93

i know that we are supposed to run 93 on maximas. i didn't when i first got the car. the weird thing is, i got like 27 to even 30s using 87 (highway milage) the mpg drop to 23 to 25s, as soon as i switch to 93.

the similar thing happened to my girlfriend's accord.

why is that happening?

Seems like just before I change my oil I get -->

outstanding mileage then as soon as I change it my mileage drops.. I normally get ~387 on a full tank but lately I've been getting ~340.

Gas Milage...

Huuuhhh? I get about 425-430 on a trip. I get about 350 in the city constant. I have never got less than 260..EVER!!

Whats the deal? I did intake and exhaust and I have an auto???? Maybe I am not as hard on my car as I thought I was. ****, when I stomp on the gas I feel bad for those who are around walking....it sounds like i let an animal out of its cage!!!!
