HAs anybody else had this problem witht there 95 max. I turn the key all the way and nothing happens. Then turn it back to off and then to on agin and the thing crank. Anybody have any idea what this is? IT started a few months ago off and on, but now it seems to be getting worse. I also have a hard cold start. Any ideas.

It's the starter. I had similar problems with my '95. The '95-'96 models are common to have starter problems. Nissan corrected (supposedly) this problem in the "97+ year models. The grease tends to dry up after a while causing it to "squeal" and eventually the solenoid "sticks" at numerous times, especially when the car is HOT!

Before my starter went there were hard starts...and when you try to crank, you should hear a "click" if its tryin. If thats not it, then it might be your park neutral switch....

So i say its most likely the starter motor, then to starter solenoid, then possibly the park neutral switch....

Good luck...

That happened to me right before the starter died. Hopefully you can fix it before it dies.

to make sure it's the starter, just take out your starter and take it to autozone to check for free.
