raceD 98 I30t vs 00 prelude

My friend and I decided to go to an empty 2 lane highway by the beach with a divider to the left and beach to the right. He has a 5spd 2000 Prelude S with AEM pullies, Apexi WS exhaust, headers (forgot brand), I think he sold his CAI, and running on 91 octane.

I have a 98 I30t auto with KN drop-in, FSTB and with 91 octane costing 2 bux a gallon, I was running on 89.

Well, we pretty much knew who was gonna win, but just wanted to do it for fun and to see how our cars would do against each other.

First light, he had a bad launch, I was in the lead by a little up to about 40, then he started slowly inching on me in second gear. At 65ish, he was half a car lenght ahead of me then the light ahead changed.

Second light, he had an ok launch, he keept slowly pulling away from me and at about 65ish he was about a car lenght ahead of me.

Third light, he had a good launch, he keept pulling away from me and at 65ish he was a car and a half ahead. Amazing how the city sets the timer on those stop lights.

It was a short ordeal, but we had fun. If my car was 5spd with intake, ypipe and decals, I think it would have been close. It would be interesting to see a stock 5spd Max and Lude go at it. IMBO, in my biased opinion , I think the Max will pull harder.

Yeah, I would like to see him race KINGMAX in the 5spd...it would be a DECENT race but it should be a breeze for the lighter 5spd max. All that sound deffening equipment on the I-30 slows you down man!

I would love to put him against nightrider, he kept killing this one on the highway. I was riding shotgun. The prelude driver i think was with his girl. But nightrider is an auto that pulls hard, and the highway i think made it worse for this guys prelude, because we pulled on him as though we were state troopers, while well above hundred

I just did it for fun and the heck of it. There was no ego or money involved.

basically u wasted gas on a honDUH. a stock vq will tear it up against a stock prelude. if u had 5 speed u woulda left him in his place shifting his own "stick". that ugly @$$ cockmaster had some garbage mods. i think if u had good mods such as altezzas and a triple decker wing u woulda handed that homo his *** on the spot. dont waste gas on honDUHs and why dont u give me a shot at u next time.
