I've decided to get Pirelli P7000 Supersport 235 45 17's. Everything I've read on them suggests that they are among the best tires I can get for "regular" and "performance" use. The problem I have now is deciding which rims to put them on. I've looked on Tire Rack but they don't list the weight of the rim. I'm trying not to buy stylish junk but something that is very good quality without blowing 500 bucks a wheel. Any suggestions on something that is functionally good <250 a wheel? Thanks in advance!

If I were you.. I'd go with the racing hart evolution serious. the c5 or the c2s. I believe they're around 200 bucks a piece for 18x7.5. I might be mistaken though. Hope this helps.

Depends on what style you like..

I just put 17x8 adr enigmas on my car with the same tire you're looking for..looks awsome. For $250 you could go with 18's..the tires are only like 20 boucks more for a 235/40. Kinda wish i'd gone with 18's..
Josh
BTW..17's with tire weigh 46.something lbs...maybe too heavy for you

Try the Axis Se7en

It's a nice 7 spoke wheel that comes in Silver, gold, white, and gunmetal. I saw them in 17s at Victoria wheel and tire for $210 each.

I plan on getting these:

18x8's

Mas Italy President

They are called MAS MGR's at Discount Tire.

They are simple and not too racy looking.

lao, i'm buying them from this dude for like 1800.00

with nitto nt 555 235zr18 tires.....the racing hart c-5's should not be too much heavier than stock because when i had my 17 inch c-2's there was no noticable loss in performance..

Actually I think I'm going to go with the SSR integrals. They look pretty conservative (so as not to draw thieves and cops like white to rice) and are very lightweight for their size.

I have the MAS Italy Axels in 17x7.5. They only weigh 19.5 lbs each, and only cost me $160 apiece. I ordered them directly from the U.S. distributor, http://www.maswheels.com. Good service and quick turnaround, and cheaper than anyone else. I recommend them to the getting the Presidents. Sorry I don't have pics, but I get a lot of compliments if that means anything.
