Diferent drop on front and back?
Hello:
After reading many pages of information on stuts and springs, I couldn't find anything explainging why the front and back are some times drop diferently. Any benefits?
Thanks.

i like the progress drop on my car becuz the front is lower then the rear by a little bit. This will help get rid of a lot of understeer becuz the rear is gonna lose traction in the rear before the front, plus when u are accelerating through a turn the front doesnt pick up like it does stock making the tires lose even more traction. basically a lower front then in the back provides less understeer then even drop. A lot of it has to do with spring rate of the spring, but since these are softer springs the lower front compensates for it. I have hard times explaining this stuff on the org, so i guess all i can tell u is to Play Grand turismo 2 or 3 and watch what happens when u raise and lower the front end of a front wheel drive car.

Some springs are made so that the front sits a little lower than the rear. It puts more weight on the front wheels when launching, so you get better traction and the air flows over you car as opposed to under, which creates a much more even flow.

I feel like having the back higher would make the car feel a little loose on the back. I do understand how it would help during hard acceleration when the front of the car picks up, and how air flow would be more even. So out of curiosity, how would you drop it if the car were RWD.
Thanks.
