2 Questions: Paint and HID opinions

Ok heres the deal, I have a 1995 Maxima SE, right now its that dark green color, but my dad has offered me a new paint job with body work, so here's question number 1:

1. What color should I paint my Maxima, should I stay with the original color, or would the 95 look better in another color...?

Second..I'm soon to be getting a HID conversion kit for me car ...should I get that blue (7500k) kit? or the violet/purple (9000k) kit?

2. What color HIDs...blue or violet

Thanks for your help in advance, I will take everyone's opinion into consideration

The metalic blue color is SWEET! Just remember that if you paint it a different color you have to change the title of the car.

Also, won't you lose your Hight beams if you put HID kit on your car! I though I was not recomended, you would not have auto leveling and would blind the cars in front of you. Just my opinion. But if you do decide to get it, go with the blue

I was thinking of metallic blue since blue is my favorite color, I didnt' know about the whole title thing though, how much will that cost? Also, I live in Miami, FL...so I rarely ever use the high beams, doesnt' concern me much if I loose them, i was also thinking blue for the HIDs, but hey some people like violet

That metallic blue is tight. Yellow would be interesting too. Whatever you do...NO ALTEZZAS. I've seen the violet kit on a max before when i was in hawaii. I was at a fast food place and there were cops there, and when he pulled into the parking lot, he turned off his lights. Wonder why. The violet kit is seriously violet, its tight, but cops will bug you about that. I've also seen many blue kits on the road here in san fran. They are hecka blue from up close and far away, you will get buged by cops with that kit too. Basically, the violet is outrageously illegal, and the blue kit is just illegal 2 of my friends have an 6000k ultinon kit in their cars, and they are nice. Cops won't bother you if you have the ultinon kit, plus, its genuine philips.

Changing the title should be about $15-30 and should be no more than 4 weeks to send it and get it back, depending on the state you live in; It's almost like getting a replacement title. You definitively want to do that though, because if you get pulled over and the title says a different color than what the car is the cops will give you a really hard time about it. (for obvious reasons; of course depending on the cop). I would still go with the metalic blue. Yellow and red are really nice colors too, but IMO they get too much attention.

About the purple lights: OEM HID kits don't really have that "really" purple look to it, so cops imediately know they are aftermarket, again calling attention. At least blue looks more .... I don't know, I like Blue. But... different colors for different people.

NEED MORE OPINIONS! =)

Well, I'm almost done deciding what I want to do, its between that metallic blue or that acura silverish color, I saw a pic of a 97 in that color and it was sooooooooo nice. I drueled a lot. Anyways, so those are the two colors I'm down to. I've decided NOT to get the violet HIDs, and I want something nicer than just white, so i'm going to get that white with blue tint HID. Anyone knwo where I can get that kind of HID, maybe from ebay or on this forum somehwere? pics would really help, thanks

My suggestion......

If I ever save up enough money this would be the paint job I would get. Get a blue (some are saying is 300 blue, but I would go with M3 blue). Either way a nice shiny metallic blue color. Then you know how some old cars get ghost flames put on them, well get 2 ghost racing stripes down the center of the car. It'll give it a sporty look w/o it being real flashy and riced up. I think it will look really nice considering most people won't even really see the racing stripes unless they are close. If I had the money for a new paint job thats what I would do.

Just get the newest HIDS - the 10000k.

As for the paint... somebody help me with this. It was a orange with blue pearl only available on '98 M3 4-doors. For those of who know what I'm talking about, is that right?
Thanks,
-Cyrus
