Black rubber lining around windows is pitting/cracking??
I am just wondering if anyone else is having the same problems. The black rubber around my front, side and rear windows is pitting and looks like $hit. I put plenty of Armorall (sp?) on it but it doesn't help. Have any of you gotten this stuff replaced? I'm guessing that this is going to cost a lot of $$ to do that. Any suggestions? Should i get out the sander?

I'd say using armor all on the window trim was your first mistake. You can try using Meguiars Natural Shine Vinyl & Rubber Protectant on there. It might help temporarily restore some shine. I"m not sure how bad the rubber trim is, but this has always worked on my car. I also use the same stuff on my dash. Unlike Armor All that tends to 'dry' stuff out, the Meguiars usually keeps a longer shine and I haven't had anything fade or dull out yet.
If all fails, replace the trim. There have been a ton of posts on this subject. I'm sure you will be able to find one that gives you all the answers you need.

After doing a search I have figured out that there is some stuff called bumper and trim black that should do the trick but I haven't heard any reviews on it. Also, I found that it is possible to just rip the stuff up and replace it (mainly just talking about the black rubber linning in the back window), but again nobody has varified this.
Have any of you guys tried either method? I'm expecially curious how to replace it. I'm sure that a few of you guys have the same problem.
