does this thing actually work? anybody install this before?

That looks cool but I would not risk my electrical system on something like that. Plus it's pretty expensive for something like a fuse.

Rice mod... if it doesn't bother you it bothers other drivers. I also don't believe they are street legal.

Spend the money on mods that make your car better in some way.
