Could I get some opinions on these wheels? Also I have a question about lowering...
Hey, I want to get some new wheels for my 1998 black Maxima. Right now I just have the 16" SE wheels on there, and I want to upgrade to some cool 18" wheels. What do you think of these? I don't want anything that is going to look too dumb (too shiny, etc.). Could I have your opinions on these?

I probably won't buy from Discount, I was just browsing the net and happened to find these. Do you think they would look good on a Maxima?
Also, I know this has been asked a million times already, even by me, but I am going to ask again because I am being told different things by people on the org and the people at the tire place... If I do not lower my Max and I just put the 18" wheels on there, will it look OK? I would think it would fill up the gap in the wheel well, since it is a bigger wheel. The guy at the tire place told me that since it is a bigger tire it will look good and it will fill up the gap just fine, and that if I lower it (which he said he will not do for me even if I provide the springs) the tires will be "rubbing all over the place." Any input on that? I'm only asking again because I am being told many different stories.
Thanks.

your link does not work...
i would say u need to lower it. After u look at the car with 18" wheels/tires you are for sure gonna say it looks raised. I know its a bit much more to put in but i say do it, you dont even need to do it right away. As for the rubbing junk, thats just bs, imo you have to lower the car.

Getting bigger rims will not fill a gap. All that happens (basically) is that you are going from a 16" rim (with a certain amount of tire), to an 18" rim with less tire. The hight will remain the same (might be taller by a .5" or so). The only way you can rub by lowering your car is if you have really wide rims, or lower it more than 4".

Link does not work but 18x8's will work!!!
those 18's will raise your car!!!also rubbing you wont get rubbing unless you put the wrong size wheel offset. And one more thing see the hondas we cant make our wheels tuck so no rubbing!!!not even with sprint springs that I recommend!!

OK, try this link. I think this should work, since I am only linking to the picture itself and not the whole webpage.

If not, it is the 5Zigen Fighter if you want to take a look.
