95-99 maxima Lowering springs need struts?

95-99 maxima Lowering springs need struts?

Do the 95-98 maxima's need new struts in order to lower the car using springs? i had a 2k2 Black Se i lowered it with maxspeed springs and i used the stock struts, and they were fine, does 95-99 work the same ??? plz reply, i totaled the 2k2 so im lookin forward to gettin a new used car.

No you don't, unless you are lowering it more than like 1.5". I've had H&Rs for about 8 months with stock struts, and they have 60,000 miles on them, no problems. I'm switching to Sprint springs next weekend and that might require me to change the struts since its a 2.0" drop.

i was thinking bout going Maxspeed springs again and it says 1.7 drop in front and 1.5 in rear but its actually really like 2.0 all around hehe, after settling that is... did u see my crash pics yet? i still cant believe my baby's gone...

Actually for the 4th Gens it's more like 1.5" all around, search and you'll see most people don't even get 1.7". Good springs, just not the lowest. And I don't think you'll need new struts with them. But then again I have been riding on Sprints with stock struts for 6 months+ and no problems either.

what kinda springs would drop more in front then rear? because maxima's have a tendency to have a larger gap in the front then the rear thats why i dont wanna lower all 4 corners the same because the front would be still higher... i just want it to even up.

Where did u get the Sprints?? and How much?
6 months?? I heard the SE struts will take more abuse
than the GLE and GXE struts
