short throw shifter...

is there a short throw shifter available for the 4th gen max. if so, please tell me about it and where i can get it

SEARCH! IBTL , there is the pacesetter STS, obx STS, stillen STS, and SMC adjustible STS which is no longer in business. Do a search on these short throws.

how afective are short throw shifters? do they make a difference? i heard that for some reason it makes shifting harder.

they can be very useful if you race alot, but yeah it will be more stiff and harder to shift for everyday driving.

long throws in 4th gen

does shifting seem like the throws are to long on 4th gens to you? thanks

it may make shifting a bit harder but as long as you religiously change the tranny fluid with Redline MT-90 your in the clear and the shifts will be precise and somewhat smooth...but when your dragging who cares about smooth

It feels like a truck gearbox!

Alas, the relatively robust aftermarket support for STS's for the 4th Gen. . .
