I was driving home tonight, and I passed a BMW 325i. Apparently he didn't like that and after a few minutes he decided to try and race me. So, I floored it. Keep in mind that I have an automatic. But, I managed to keep ahead of him. We were on the open highway, and got up a little past 90, but started to come up on traffic so we had to slow down. But during our "race" we'd keep slowing down, then he would try and pull ahead and I would keep staying ahead of him.

Do you think his car was really any slower than mine, or do you think that he was just playing with me and just waiting for the "kill" and waiting for an opportunity to blow past me in my autotragic Maxima? Are those BMW 325i's slower than our cars? I would not expect that.

 

the only 325i have ever driven was a 1993 model and it was 5 speed. It was very quick and would respond well on the highway. But I would have to say you were probably evenly matched. Kinda nice having rear wheel drive though...

 

325 suck, my automagic eats them for lunch.

 

It would be nice if you said what year it was! Newer or older???

 

Oh, sorry... It was newer. I'd say late 90's or so (could have been newer than that even, because I don't know anything about them). But it was new looking.

 

Go to www.edmunds.com and check out the specs yourself. That's what I always do before or after I kick someones *** just to check whether I actually did good and not to **** people off by making a " can I win with this car"...

 

My friend has a 2002 325i. In a 97 GXE stock, I would hang with him till about 80, and then he would pull on me. I think w/ intake and y pipe it would dead even or even me pulling ahead.
