I have 2 cracks on my side wall close to my rims. I have stock Honeycombs with huge horrible legacy tires that belong on a minivan! Maybe its the 115+ degrees here in Vegas? Should I not worry about it?

 

take it easy on those tires.......i had crappy firestones on my car and it ended up flipping over onto its roof.........get some dunlops

I think you need to spend some money and invest in a good set of tires. The crack could become a weak spot on your tires and having it blow while you're on the road is not only inconvenient, possibly dangerous/fatal.

 

Tires is a really big thing in my opinion... get better tires, they matter when it comes to safety... like alot

 

I'm afraid I will. I didn't want to spend money on tires for my stock Honey Comb rims. Since It seems I'll have too which would you recommend? They are 15 inch honeycombs....

 

what kind of "driving" are u planning on doing... and how much per tire are u willing to pay

 

if you want to be cheap and/or plan on getting bigger and better rims rims later on, goto pepboys and get futura tires.......they may sound a little ghetto, but they arent too bad, they're made by good year. They come with a decent warranty as well. Just dont pretend your a nascar driver with them.

 

How old/many miles are the tires? Looks like it could be ozone cracking. Tires are usually very loaded with anti-ozonants (The stuff that makes your tires look brown and crappy).

 

I'm not sure how old they are. They have been on the car since I bought it back in Nov 01'. The thread on it seems to be good. Meaning that they are not bald. They still have pretty good ridges. My style of driving is that of an aggressive punk behind the wheel that likes to rev up at traffic lights in order to properly invite the party sitting next to me to a race. So basically 1/4 racing. However I want maximum cornering peformance as well. Best of both worlds?
