i have the old JT kit and i am looking to get one that is real alum. i see that there are now a few to chose from, the new JT, one from alkaplus, and one more that i don't think has come out yet. im just wondering if anyone has gotten the alkaplus and has a pic, or if the new JT kits fit better than the old ones? thanks for the help

From Shing's pics, the aluminum JT kit looks like it fits about the same as the old one. I'm the guy talking about the other one that hasn't come out yet. It's made by Perfect Image Creations and it will be out soon. I know I've said that for a while, they've been busy and the Maxima market hasn't shown him that much interest so he's taking his time. They cater mostly to european cars, VW, BMW, Audi, Porsche. I can tell you that the fit on my prototype kit was much better than my old JT kit. We are currently working on combining the 2 clock pieces and the climate control piece. If it is feasible to make them that way for production kits, they will be sold that way. This means that the top 3 pieces will be combined into 1 big piece leading to a cleaner look. Best guess for when they will be on sale is end of the year.

Well, it's my friend's shop that's making them. But I'm an authorized dealer and so will be handling the maxima market. I'll try to arrange a group deal, but I'll also sell them for a good price to get the name out.

Heh, it just looks that way because of the gap at the bottom.

synthetic is the way to go for best fit.....

PIOPREMIER: Do you want a synthetic kit or the real aluminum kit?? The JT real aluminum kit in my opinion fits like crap. I have seen pics, nothing lines up and there are gaps all over. I mean you cant get real aluminum to bend like the sythetic and if you over bend it will not go back to the original condition. I ordered my sythetic kit from a place in Atlanta and it looks awsome. I have seen the kit from that place on E-bay and it doesnt compare to what i have. Their kit is too shiny and cheap looking, plus dont fit exactly either. I paid $180 including shipping to my door. My kit is 19 piece and resembles the "aluminum" look the best.

Not all kits fit that bad. On my kit, there are practically no gaps now. All the pieces line up and where possible, are combined. It is hard to bend the pieces sometimes though. Keep in mind that what fits perfectly on one car may not fit perfectly on another.

Alrite, I'll see what I can do. I'll call him tomorrow and see if we can speed it up. They're pretty much ready, but we're trying to make sure everything's perfect so there are no returns.

I totally agree with you. The one from ebay suck. This company sent me duplicate parts (two left defrost vents) and one missing right side auto window switch. The kit looks like crap because it fake carbon fiber. I'm all about quality when it comes to my car. The kit I got had uneven lines and looked horrible. I do not recomend the kits from ebay.

What is the company that you got your kit from? How much did it cost and do they make real carbon fiver kits?

Thanks,

Kest

Re: any info

I'm supposed to go in tomorrow to have the final production kit fitted. If everything goes well, then they will be on sale immediately after that.

$180 shipped to your door!
#404 525 9274 (ask 4 Chris)

Tell him that Anthony sent you and he will take care of you. I guarantee that this kit will look and fit the best in the Max. Mine is totally seamless and fits perfectly. He has every finish availible too. Definitly check it out. Chris might still be able to send you samples of the kit before you buy.

yea i got it from Ebay for $96.00 shipped... the place is in brooklyn so when i go to get the pieces for the door handles, the center vents piece (i broke it), and the bezel for around the gauges, I aint gotta pay shippin... the one for 325 looks more like a darker aluminum but i think the one NY96MAXSE has is better than mine... Don't get all gassed Anthony... I still think my car is nicer than urs
