Couple of days ago I adjusted the idle speed on my '97 SE and the car is not stalling anymore! Now when I crank it the revs don't go down anymore, they stay at 600-700.
It took me 3 seconds. For all those want to do this, don't confuse the stop screw on the throttle body, this screw should not be touched. There is a special idle adjustment screw closer to the fire wall.

Actually I did that too. But I found that after a while, the engine adjusts itself to the low idle again (like after a week). I cranked up the idle again to 750, and it dropped to like 600 again.

To test my theory, I dropped the idle to like 500 (engine shook but never stalled). After a couple days, idle was back up to 600 again. So, it seems whatever you set it to, the ECU will always adjust it back to 600.

i don't think i have the right screw. I tried doing it, but nothing happened. I was adjusting the black screw that is to the upper left of the throttle position sensor harness. Was this the wrong screw or did it just not do anything?

It is a plastic screw and on my car it is grey. It will adjust your revs for neutral but not while the engine is engaged. That is when the ecu takes over.
