Can someone give me a description of a slipping auto in the Max? I think mine is-going into 2nd and 3rd there is a pause then shift. Under hard throttle, there is a pause-shift-pause-continue. I have read that the auto just does not shift well, but if I have a problem, I need to get it fixed before an upcoming 1600 mile trip. The Max has 74,000 miles on it and recently had the tranny flushed (about 5 months ago) with no discoloration or metal shavings in the fluid.

Well it usually takes longer between those gears and I think you would know what slippage was if it happened to you. That just my opinion. Try asking one of the guys who is a mechanic on this site.

If it were slipping, wouldn't it also slip while downshifting as well? My downshifts are solid.
